What is the TEF French exam?
The TEF (Test d’évaluation de français) is an internationally recognised French proficiency test created and managed by CCI Paris Île-de-France. Results are valid for 2 years. 
The TEF helps you prove your level of French for:
- Immigration (including Canada and Québec)
- France administrative procedures (residency card, naturalisation)
- Studies in French-speaking higher education 
Depending on the TEF version you choose, you may take 2 to 4 mandatory tests (and sometimes optional modules, depending on your project).
Results delivery: usually around 2 weeks after the test (TEF IRN pathway).
